Tom Brady's out for the season (0.00 / 0)
Surgery needed.

This is a step (0.00 / 0)
in the right direction:

Palin's greatest strength is getting voters to forget that McCain is tied at the hip to Bush.

Don't forget the albatross that is W.

Wonder if Sununu's fired now.

McKenzie lauded Lynch on Labor (0.00 / 0)
I wish more of you guys had been there. Its one thing to be a liberal and blog about what's wrong, quite another to see what's going right.
George Copaidis, Lynch's Labor Commissioner was very warmly received and McKenzie lauded the governor on his listening skills...under Benson there was no meeting no listening, just his way or the highway. McKenzie appreciated Lynch for having an open door, especially when they show up there with a dozen folks...and they appreciate that he signed the increase in the Minimum wage, the second installment of which went into effect on Sept 1st. They also appreciate that he backed the proper classification of independent contractors, and that Labor issues are the issues of our Governor too.
You don't get all you want with Lynch, its not a perfect world. But when you drill down, you find competence amongst his Commissioners, and a willingness to appreciate their constituents' issues. Lynch grew up middle class, not upper middle class or rich, made his money through hard work, skill, and a UNH undergraduate degree. He appreciates the working men and women of our great state. he knows from whence they come.

The goals of our Labor Dept.

Bon Jovi Party Raises $3 Million for Barack Obama

Jon_bon_jovi Rocker Jon Bon Jovi showed he is a stalwart supporter of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama by raising $3 million for him at a New Jersey benefit.

Story continues below:

The New York Post said Sunday that the "Destination Anywhere" singer held a private fundraiser at his own home in Middletown, N.J., in order to raise funds for the Illinois senator's presidential run. With nearly 100 people paying more than $30,000 to attend the exclusive event, Obama made an appearance to offer some inspiration words to his assembled supporters.

"We're not going to be bullied, we're not going to be smeared," the presidential hopeful said at Friday's event.

Bon Jovi is the second notable musical name involved in the electoral race during recent days as the band Heart blasted Republican presidential candidate John McCain regarding his campaign's use of the band's hit song "Barracuda.
"

The Post said the popular Heart song was used, allegedly without permission, by campaign officials during this week's Republican National Convention to help introduce Alaskan Gov. Sarah Palin, McCain's vice-presidential running mate.

I Heart Bernie (4.00 / 1)
In a democracy, elections are not beauty pageants or reality shows, or soap operas for political junkies. Elections are the real business of democracy, and they should be about real things.

I particularly enjoy Palin's Bridge to Nowhere tee shirt! Kudos to Obama/Biden.

BTW, in regards to Alderman Sullivan - yes, he is a longtime supporter of Senator Obama ... in fact, that's how we first met back in March of '07. Obviously I strongly disagree with his pro-NHAC reasoning in his reply to my comment which was directed at the change Manchester's Democratic activists will be ushering-in next year and not personally at him (unlike his comment which he personally directed at me).

NHAC's item will be on a Manchester ballot - the only question is when and whether the City first deserves the opportunity to do its due diligence on the as yet unknown ramifications of a tax cap. As a warrior for openness and transparency in government, I also hope the Alderman shares my view and that of much of our party that NHAC indeed should shed some light on its donors, spending and purposes.

Furthermore, I stand by my statements on the 3 year Guinta record in Manchester:

violent crime is back on the rise, the school system literally is failing, fraud exposed in the Mayor's office, judges call us a "dangerous and disgusting city to live in," the school board still debates pizza contracts instead of curriculum and Free Staters are on the verge of dictating our city's tax policy.

Finally, I think it should be noted that I have no plans to ever label Alderman Sullivan a "DINO," that I did not him call one, and that I know him as an honorable public servant even if we disagree on the the "facts" regarding the tax cap debate and the Guinta record.

Late night emailing, ugh... (0.00 / 0)
Here's a tale from the trail.

I hate sending e-mails with the addressees in the open. I am very sensitive to privacy and will bend over backwards to use BCC: in mass e-mails.

I just sent out this e-mail, in clusters of 25, with the addresses in the open.

Arrrgh!

I am soooo sorry, folks.

Please still come to Nashua:
