New Hampshire is the connection to everything good...

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03...
"This has never been just about business," said Gary Hirshberg, chief executive of Stonyfield Farm, the maker of organic yogurt. "We are here to change the world. We dreamt for decades of having this moment."

Elections have consequences and Gary continues to lead the way toward healthier and safer food standards. He's meeting with the Secretary of Agriculture and friend Tom Vilsack next week.
Thank you Gary for keeping on keepin' on. Follow the link to article, and look out for the movie, Food, Inc.

Do you mean (4.00 / 1)
New Hampshire is the connection to everything good...

Massachusetts?

The NYT article (0.00 / 0)
is very encouraging.

However, I will go a step further and say: the framing of organic food needs a complete makeover.

It brings up associations of yuppies at Union Square picking out exotic fare at high prices.  People with time and money you and I don't have.

Which is utter nonsense.  My push to eat organic has been a years-long process that has meant sacrifices in other areas.

The framing should be: Hard-working Americans have a right not to have bug killer on their dinner.  Tell Mr. Three Piece Suit and his Agri-Corp to get their greedy, polluting hands off the my food!

I love the part (4.00 / 1)
about Vilsack taking a jackhammer to the sidewalk in front of Ag. Dept to start a garden...and the Obamas too. Can we call it a Victory Garden ?

note to close readers: this might be sarcastic so think twice before reading to candidates for use in their attacks on each other

Hopefully, this will help the organic market (4.00 / 1)
There are a lot of organic dairy farmers who are really hurting.  Stoneyfield (HP Hood) just canceled their contracts with 8 organic dairies in Maine and told the others that they have to cut production.  See Organic milk boom in Maine going bust

Can someone explain to me why, if they love the Constitution so much, the right-wingers keep introducing amendments to change it?
