Meet Kos at Gibson's Bookstore on August 24

by: michael57

Mon Jun 01, 2009 at 15:24:14 PM EDT

I have just posted the event, but thought I would also mention it in a short diary for folks who don't look at the events schedule.

Markos will be at Gibson's Bookstore in Concord on 8/24, starting at 7 PM, to read, take questions, and sign books. Mark your calendars!

Be sure to ask him about our primary ! (4.00 / 3)
Markos has in-laws in NH, IIRC. Hope he has a nice trip out East.

Being lower on the chain (0.00 / 0)
by a few rungs from the Great Orange Satan Overlord, yet not having met him yet at any blogger thingy, it would be kind of funny and awkward to introduce myself at a book signing.

Sounds like a plan!

Awkward (4.00 / 3)
Brought to you by meetups with people you kind of know online.

He has a book? (0.00 / 0)
Guess I'm out of the loop. Seems ironic, somehow. The book, I mean; not me being out of the loop (common occurrence).

They. Don't. Care.
We do.
Rinse, repeat.

His book should (4.00 / 1)
be required reading for activists, IMO, especially ones uncomfortatble with blogging, etc. He's got some very good observations on recent events, and how to use the internet to organize. And of course there's the highlight of Carol Shea-Porter in the last chapter as an example of very effective grassroots activism.
