Thank you for your service to the state of New Hampshire. I want to commend you for your steadfast support of marriage equality, for being on the right side of history, and for being a living embodiment of the historically socially tolerant quality of New Hampshire Republicans. It must not be an easy path for you to take, given your party affiliation. But please know that the courage you have displayed in your support for this basic civil right will be remembered by this Democrat the next time I'm in the voting booth.
Dear Senator Houde, Representatives Clark, Tilton, Tupper, and Wheeler,
Thank you for your service to the state of New Hampshire. You have made me proud to be a Democrat with your staunch support of marriage equality each time it has come up in the legislature. I urge you to follow through with this support tomorrow so that this basic civil right can come to pass for all of our citizens.
Dear Representative Coffey,
Thank you for your service to the state of New Hampshire. I urge you to consider that for the state to deny the right of a committed, loving couple to marry runs strongly against the libertarian values which you (I am told) hold dear. Please join the many libertarian voices of support for marriage equality tomorrow so that we can stop having the state declare some of its citizens separate but equal.
Sincerely, me
All hands on deck. Please contact your Senator and Reps if you haven't already.
Tomorrow, New Hampshire leads the way on marriage equality and strengthens the nationwide momentum, or it doesn't. The difference may be a couple of votes.
