Not a whole lot of separate text I need to put here. A right-winger has posted to their Twitter account an explicit call for the assassination of President Obama.

Yeah. This is the mindset of the right these days.
The FBI and the Secret Service are investigating, Twitter took down the offensive posts, and lo and behold he's now predictably whining that everyone's being meeeean to him and accusing him of saying exactly what he said.
So when someone on the right says "Oh, that's just some nutjob," just remember - that's what one of them thought he could get away with saying in public. What they say in private is a lot more explicit and a lot more disgusting.
They're actively talking on Free Republic about how 'maybe Tim McVeigh had it right' and re-raising their idiotic birther conspiracies, among other things. It is not time to sit back and let them bluster or let their leaders pretend it's not happening. Rub their noses in the shit they're saying every time or they won't learn.
