The Final Debates

by: Kathy Sullivan 2

Sun Oct 31, 2010 at 10:01:30 AM EDT

(Frank Guinta continues to hide from voters and their pesky questions. - promoted by Dean Barker)

I am at the Temple Adeth Yeshurun in Manchester for the traditional final debates. Frank  Guinta is not showing up, which is pretty rude, since this is his adopted home town where he was mayor and he knows this is a traditional must stop before general election.  He is dis'ing the Queen City.

Kelly Ayotte is not showing up either, which also shows a certain tone deafness, but at least she isn't from Manchester.

So, we will hear from both CSP and Paul, and see the final debate between Governor Lynch and Johnny Stephen.

And ask, why is Frank afraid to face the hometown crowd?

Adding (Dean):

GOTV! GOTV! GOTV! GOTV! GOTV! GOTV! GOTV!

CSP doing a good job (4.00 / 4)
She does a wonderful presentation on how volunteering in New Orleans prompted her to run for office, and what her values are. She is so different from Guinta.

"When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on."  Franklin D. Roosevelt

Hodes on Health Insurance (4.00 / 3)
Paul Hodes talks about getting Michelle's Law passed at the federal level. That is the type of accomplishment that we get from Paul Hodes, but won't get from Kelly Ayotte.

Stephen Late - How Rude! (4.00 / 1)
This is weird, no John Stephen?

Hah! (4.00 / 1)
It is the end of the day for Johnny Stephen.

Somene must finally have told him, because today he kept telling us about the bottom line.

Finally Shows Up (4.00 / 1)
Stephen finally makes his appearance. Not a good way to start.

It really is remarkable (4.00 / 3)
When you think of how bad the economy was two, three years ago, and where NH is today, it is quite remarkable what good shape NH is in, thanks to Governor Lynch and the Democratic legislature.  John Lynch has provided steady leadership.

Stephen, meanwhile, is trying to claim that John Lynch doesn't represent NH values, and attacks state spending.

"When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on."  Franklin D. Roosevelt

Marriage equality (4.00 / 4)
When asked why he wants to repeal marriage equality, Stephen says he wants to cut spending. Governor Lynch calls that an interesting answer, then talks about the people who have thanked him for signing the bill,

"When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on."  Franklin D. Roosevelt

Stephen very defensive (4.00 / 3)
John Stephen got very defensive about the investigation into the payment for his work in RI.

"When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on."  Franklin D. Roosevelt

And that's that (4.00 / 1)
No more debates!
