It's an obvious point but it's still worth pointing out - squeaky wheel gets the media grease when it comes to the town hall bullies.

Remember the "silent majority"?  Part of me wonders if the roles have reversed and that idiom more aptly applies today to the wide margin of voters that swept Obama and the Democrats into office in 2008.  These are the people that don't have the time to listen to hate radio and FOX News, but who saw a country wildly off track with Bush and voted for change in numbers not seen for Democrats since LBJ.

Silent Majority, Reagan Democrats, Compassionate Conservatives, Teabaggers... (4.00 / 2)
Every time the conservative movement comes up with a new name for itself, the media acts like there's a new voting majority in America, made up 70 million people who didn't vote for the Republican last time.

Yawn.

No, I think it's more like some people having (4.00 / 1)
just woken up.  The teabaggers are an imitative lot.  They saw all those anti war people standing on street corners and marching and promoting candidates door to door and then they saw the results.  So, they're trying to catch up.  The problem is that the people who are taking care of logistics are deceiving them.  Americans for Prosperity has no respect for teabaggers.  They're industry shills who are using the teabaggers like they used to use strike-breakers and still use foreign workers.
