UNH/WMUR: Charlie Bass Favorability Plummets

by: Dean Barker

Sat May 01, 2010 at 07:12:11 AM EDT

Since the current state media paradigm demands serious attention to polls with over 6 percent MoE's, I might as well point out things in it (.pdf) not highlighted by Smith's spin.

In just a two month span, Charlie Bass' favorability ratings have tanked 12 points, while his unfavorability is up 6.

That's a significant souring on him.  The more the public remembers this virtual incumbent and his Bush enabling record, as well as when they witness his pathetic clinging to the Tea Party, it will continue to go down, I suspect.

There's something fishy about this poll showing Bass the leader. If I had my pickerel it'd be anyone else. Perched above the fray shall we see what the horned pout has to offer? Atop the dais we catch the dace swimmingly as they trout out the usual candidates. It's all a load of crappie as far I can see. Be that as it may, lets hope we can get a viable legislator or two installed come November. Enjoy the day all:)

If you want aother RINO, vote for BASS. If you want a real Conservative, VOTE FOR JENNIFER HORN!

We need a new face, with new ideas.

Bass didn't seem to do much on his own when he was congressman, pretty much following Bush no matter what. Think I'm going to be looking more closely at Horn....

I just heard (4.00 / 1)
Andy Smith on NHPR talking about how "surprised" he is by his polling results, given the Democratic majority. Given that his sampling was skewed toward Republicans - his claims of surprise ring false. A pity  the average listener won't know how bogus his polling data is.

the sellers of polling data see the 'outs' as a more motivated market seg than the 'ins'? Ya think ? No different than the pols who are buying what they want to hear from those that are selling it...

Months ago I was told (0.00 / 0)
that November elections are decided by the economic movement in the first three months of the election year.  Yesterday it was reported the economy surged upwards 3.4% the first quarter of 2010. The largest growth in years. With the quality of our candidates, the absence of any GOP leadership, the economy climbing out of the Bush ditch and the leadership of the president and governor, we are going to do well, very well.

Have you written a letter to the editor today? Have you donated today? Have you put up signs? Have you made calls? Have you talked to your neighbors?

Let's see.... (0.00 / 0)
First, CB insists that he is a moderate (maybe even a liberal!), pissing off the right wing/primary voter/activist wing of the GOP forever.  Regardless of the veracity of such a claim, the unquestionned repeat of such silliness by talk-show hosts cements, forever, the right wing froth into cement.

Then, Chuckie embraces the Tea Party movement, with all the credibility of Madonna embracing James Dobson, crippling any claim to a moderate base.

Is there anyone left to vote for this guy besides Teflon Salesmen?
