ARG: Obama 52 - McCain 43, Shaheen 51 - Sununu 42

by: Dean Barker

Yeah, yeah, it's ARG. But it's also right in line with all the other polls that've come down the pike the past week or so.

NH-President:

Barack Obama: 52%
John McCain: 43%
other: 1%
undecided: 4%

Sample: 600 likely voters from 10/6-8, MoE ± 4%

As with other recent polls, women are running as fast as they can from Maverick McCain (here, 61-34). Thanks, Sarah Barracuda!

NH-Senate:

Jeanne Shaheen: 51%
John Sununu: 42%
undecided: 7%

Sample: 600 likely voters from 10/6-8, MoE ± 4%

Shaheen leads Sununu by 20 points among undeclared voters (57-37). Thanks, President Bush!

. . . but lots of work left to be done.

Am looking forward to heading back to NH for a campaign vacation the last 1 1/2 weeks before the election.  Will look out for friendly BH faces in Concord!

Scratching 'n Clawing (4.00 / 1)
I guess because NH Progressive candidates are doing better with VSOs, the GOoPers over at Granite Grok had to come up with something. So they hightailed it right over to Vets for Freedom, a partisan 527 non-profit, that spins for the Right. Now they have a "grade" for Sununu & Gregg.

I know that VfF is a GOP front, but I had to prove it. Anyways I counted 24 vets promoted by their Vets for Freedom PAC Candidates

One is a Democrat. It was easy to find the token Dem because in ALL the biographies, his is the only one that mentions party affiliation.

(Emphasis mine)
Jim Marshall for United States Congress in the 8th District of Georgia
Vets for Freedom PAC is proud to announce its support of Democratic Congressman Jim Marshall for United States Congress in the 8th District of Georgia. Jim is a true American patriot, having proudly served his country both in the military and as a public servant for most of his life. Jim has also been a strong supporter of our troops and their mission-and is one of the few Democrats who stood behind General David Petraeus' strategy in Iraq in 2007 and 2008, even when it was politically unpopular.

Here read this one:
Allen West for United States Congress in the 22nd District of Florida
Vets for Freedom PAC is proud to announce its support of Allen West for United States Congress in the 22nd District of Florida. With a 20 year career as an officer in the Army, LTC West proudly served with distinction in Operation Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom, earning a Bronze Star, three Meritorious Service Medals, three Army Commendation Medals (one with Valor), and a Valorous Unit Award. Vets for Freedom applauds Allen's commitment to continue his public service as a member of the United States House of Representatives.

Mr. West is a Republican, which you only find out if you click in a few times. Oh, and Allen West is a real find, btw.

Failure of Command
The case of Lt. Col. Allen B. West.
What Allen West did was wrong. But there is nothing he did that warrants a court martial or a felony conviction: It's clear that the lawyers and the careerists in the Army have decided to make an example of him. But an example of what? After tossing out a soldier who killed a prisoner, how does it help to court martial another who intimidated a prisoner without injuring him, and actually got information that may have saved American lives?
...
We must keep faith with the troops by holding them to clear standards, and punishing those who violate them with judgment and consistency. Allen West is neither a hero nor a war criminal. Reprimand and retire him, and then rid the command of those who really made this mess: those who are more concerned with their image than with the loyalty they must show to their troops.

Here are the rest of the endorsed GOP candidates:
Tom Manion for United States Congress in the 8th District of Pennsylvania
Charlie Summers for United States Congress in the 5th District of Maine
Duncan Hunter for United States Congress in the 52nd District of California
Congressman Robin Hayes for United States Congress in the 8th District of North Carolina
Chris Myers for United States Congress in the 3rd District of New Jersey
Senator James Inhofe for the United States Senate in Oklahoma
Craig Williams for United States Congress in the 7th District of Pennsylvania
Kieran Lalor for United States Congress in the 20th District of New York
Sean Sullivan for United States Congress in the 2nd Congressional District of Connecticut
Mark Ellmore for United States Congress
Will Breazeale for United States Congress in the 7th District of North Carolina
Jeff Beatty for United States Senate
Saxby Chambliss for United States Senate in Georgia
Lee Zeldin for United States Congress in the 1st District of New York
Steve Stivers for United States Congress in the 15th District of Ohio
Duane Sand for United States Congress in North Dakota
Tom Rooney for United States Congress in the 16th District of Florida
Steve Hudson for United States Congress in the 8th District of Maryland
John Cornyn for U.S. Senate Representing Texas
Tim Bee for United States Congress in the 8th District of Arizona
Vince Micco for United States Congress in the 9th District of New Jersey
Dean Andal for United States Congress in the 11th District of California

PS. I posted this on the Grok, but they have a new Admin review filter, so here it is for all to see.

If that bastard goes down, I want to celebrate with Max Cleland.

That's the indie numbers for POTUS in the ARG poll.

Let me repeat that:
