by: Jack Mitchell

Who is Jonny B. Bad?

Knotter of sphincters? Sometimes.
Frayer of last good nerves? Ask those that "be gone."
Bender of language and reality maps? At a minimum.

It will hide the comment, if there are more than 2.

Here comes the bad guy (0.00 / 0)
I think a strong case can be made for not having a charity at this particular event.

Why? Because it celebrates a tremendous victory, and the victory was a mountain of work.

So I would hate to see someone who is borderline on going, with money tight for gas and Christmas and whatever else, decide not to go because of the charity surcharge.

How about a poll on that?

Yours,

Ebeneezer Grunge

Canned food, old eye glasses or cell phones. We aren't raising money for Jim Martin. :)

OK thanks (0.00 / 0)
My wife just got me a new cell phone, so I can donate my old one, once I get past the "I miss my old phone" stage.

Got to tear it away from the kids (4.00 / 1)
Cell phones and batteries do not make healthy play things... oh well.  I purged about 3 the last time we got together, no one's missed them yet!

Feeling hopeful since 2004...

In all fairness, (0.00 / 0)
If this weren't after the runoff anyway, we probably would be raising money for Martin, hehe.

If I remember correctly, there's going to be an Irish house band too - good times.

BASH facebook event pg (4.00 / 2)
Talked with Jack today - the invites to NHYD's membership are out (and will be ongoing) and NHYD created a Facebook event page - BHYD BASH - to help with RSVPs (FB's been a useful tool for us to help get an idea on #s). So, if you're on FB, feel free to RSVP and share the info w/your friends.

I'll pass-on more news when I get it too!

Rep. Carol Shea Porter Came to the first one 5/3/08 (0.00 / 0)
sorry for the sketchy quality...Rep. Carol Shea Porter came unannounced but we were thrilled to have her.

she was decrying that even back in April and May there were  30 seconds ads running against her.

Slide show? (4.00 / 1)
Is there anywhere to project a slide show?  I was thinking we could all forward all our great pics to Mike (like how I'm volunteering Hoefer when I don't even know if he's coming)... and we could put together a SILENT slide show of our pics collected over the last 2 year campaign cycle, including pics from the convention, and election night (I have some good ones, just haven't had the right diary to post them to).

Jack? (0.00 / 0)
Does your rating mean that there is a place?  Or that you'll check to see if there's a place???

Thanks for all your groundwork Jack!

We could set that up (0.00 / 0)
I am very confident that the back room could be used to set up the slide show.

Who has the gear? Sounds like Mike.

Let's put it together. Kelly, tag your it!

Maybe we can open a semi-public "photobucket" account. E-mail around the username and PW, and have folks upload their 20+/- faves.

Even if the show at The Shaskeen is an Uber Fail. It can still go up on BH. :v)

That sounds too easy.

Here's what we need: (0.00 / 0)
1) a laptop/projector
2) a screen
3) photobucket (or would you rather I use Picassa, Mike???)

I'll set up the account later today, and post the username and password here.  Then people can upload their photos... Or worse case scenario... can email the files to me at kelmgn at geeeeeeeeeeeemail dot com. (no e's)

How's that sound?
Who's got the equip?

Feeling hopeful since 2004...

[ Parent ]
There's broadband wifi at the Shaskeen? (4.00 / 1)
After collecting pics on picasa or photobucket, you may want to just DL them to a flash drive for safety and speed. I could easily come up with a projector to pass on to Mike beforehand if he's going to be there early on, I will be arriving later and can retrieve it then. I will e-mail him directly to that effect, just in case he misses this.

Who seduces an angel? Who strips in space? Who conveys love by hand? Who gives up the pill? Who takes sex to outer space? Who's the girl of the 21st century? Who nearly dies of pleasure?

See Barbarella do her thing!

The space age adventuress whose sex-ploits are among the most bizarre ever seen.

Who can save the universe?

When she sat in the North Vietnamese gun emplacement she was a hot revolutionary. Klute was filmed in Vancouver and I saw the premiere there.

ps.

Klute (Pakula 1971)
http://www.aate.org.au/view_jo...
Another film by director Pakula, Klute concerns private investigator John Klute (played by Donald Sutherland) who is hired to solve a series of murders and attacks on call-girls. The killer, played by Charles Cioffi, is a Nixon look-alike who tapes the conversations he has with his victims. Like Nixon, he is eventually undone by the evidence on his own tapes. As Graham (1996) has noted, Charles Cioffi also appears in the pilot episode of The X Files as the FBI supervisor who gives Dana Scully her assignment to work with/spy on Fox Mulder. This piece of casting immediately introduces (for those who notice it) undertones of secrecy, conspiracy and duplicity, and begins the construction of a Nixonian backdrop for the series. Indeed 'erasure', central to Nixon's downfall, is a recurrent motif in early episodes of The X Files.

Tech Help Request (0.00 / 0)
Could someone put the code up, as a reply, that would line up 3 or 4 of the blue hampster?

I want to use it in a upcoming BH Bash diary. I think the line of dancing hampsters would be cool.

Help, please.
