Support CSP With Your Donation!!

by: Kathy Sullivan 2

(This is important, too. Here's a link to BH's Act Blue Page. - promoted by Jennifer Daler)

Call it serendipity, but Mike Biundo, of Frank Guinta's campaign, "forwarded" me this e mail a few minutes ago:

I know this is late notice, but I wanted to make you aware of an event that is happening this evening to support my campaign for Congress. If you can't make it, I understand, but only with your financial support can we defeat Carol Shea-Porter next November and bring honesty and full transparency back to the NH-01 Congressional Seat.

If you can't make it this evening please make your contribution today and help me raise $25,000 online by tomorrow September 30th to become the next Congressman from New Hampshire's First District.

LOL!  Frank Guinta bringing "honesty and full transparency" to the seat - the same Frank Guinta who - oopsie - didn't think about honesty and transparency that night at the Fish and Game Club!

The reason I say "forwarded" is that this is a campaign technique I see from time to time - someone closely associated with a campaign "forwards" an  e mail which actually was intended to come from the forwarder all along.

Anyway, it reminded me again of the importance of raising some funds for our first district congresswoman.

So, thanks to Mr. Biundo for reminding me to go make a contribution to CSP - I hope the rest of you consider doing the same thing, as she is a terrific congresswoman who is working hard for the people in her district!  Here is a link to her web site so that you can donate on line before the end of the quarter tomorrow.

I happily did so this morning. (4.00 / 5)
But this post makes me want to do it again.

Frank Guinta IS Fully Transparent (4.00 / 6)
You can see right through his phony baloney campaign!

wish I could give you a 5 n/t (0.00 / 0)

I do have to admit... (4.00 / 3)
That Mr. Biundo did respond with good humor when I e mailed him back to thank him for giving me a message to post on Blue Hampshire.

you can make a donation on your credit card!!

I'm all for supporting CSP, (0.00 / 0)
But regardless of what the end-of-quarter numbers are, elections are about voting, not about arbitrary goalposts set and moved by the media.  I want Carol Shea-Porter to get re-elected; I don't care whether she and/or her opponent raised more or less than The Pundits expected, that's not news by itself.

After the media ignored half the candidates running for President in the 2008 primary (and so many elections before), it's time to push back on this.

The only way to push back (4.00 / 1)
. . . is to back campaign finance reform.  Until then, money matters, as it provides the means to convey our messages.  There's no way around it.

In related news, I snorted cereal out of my nose when I saw the words "honesty" and "transparency" in an appeal for Frank Guinta.

Campaign finance reform would be nice, (0.00 / 0)
But it wouldn't fix the media goalposts problem, nor would it necessarily fix the media "frontrunners" problem.  I'm glad Obama was nominated, even though I didn't vote for him in the primary, but it would've been nice for Dodd, Biden, Richardson, and yes even Kucinich to get due attention.  You can't be a front-runner if you can't get name recognition, it's a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Admittedly, this is a tangent.  Go CSP!

I'll need this for a later date.

Yes, Kathy. You know what I'm thinking.

If ten people who read this post tonight each give ten dollars, and then each of them get ten of their friends to give ten dollars, we can give a big boost to Carol's fundraising before the end of this quarter. I just sent my contribution in. How about you?

Yep (0.00 / 0)
Carol is one of perhaps 3 members of Congress who doesn't taking money from business PACs. That puts her at a big disadvantage to her opponent, but means she is free to cast her vote to help the people. She is depending on us to finance her campaign, and we can't let her down.

On this, Mike is Right (4.00 / 1)
It is revealing to look at who is taking insurance and bank PAC money.
This is just one of many reasons why Carol's support is both deep and wide.
I'm doing my part for Carol. She's doing it all for us!

No'm Sayn?
