NH-02: Here Comes the Republican Wave!

by: Dean Barker

Wed Oct 13, 2010 at 22:25:14 PM EDT

Both the New York Times and Real Clear Politics moved their ratings of the Kuster-Bass race from "Leans Republican" to "Toss-Up" today.

That is all. Oh, and:

GOTV! GOTV! GOTV! GOTV! GOTV! GOTV! GOTV! GOTV! GOTV! GOTV! GOTV! GOTV! GOTV!

Have you knocked on doors today? Have you made calls ? Have you talked to your neighbors ?

Republicans want this election to be held (4.00 / 1)
yesterday.  The more we get to know their candidates, the less we like them.  The Curse of October is to have an edge in polls and watch as they ebb each day while your opponent gains - been there, done that, and it's painful.  It's happening to the complete R ticket here in NH.

Because I'm not a believer in torture, I'm hoping for a tsunami of good polling news by end of week next week to put some of these miscreants out of their electoral misery.

6:30 A.M. Thursday morning (0.00 / 0)
and I'm watching WBZ News (Boston) with my morning coffee. Ad after ad after ad and all of them attacking NH Dems. It's a little unsettling to see how much money is being spent to defeat us and none from our side.

...the Doo Dah Man once told me you've got to play your hand. Sometimes the cards ain't worth a dime if you don't lay 'em down.

While that might be a good idae (0.00 / 0)
I fail to see how it will help to elect Democrats.

As Bill Binnie and so many others remind us... (0.00 / 0)
There is a point of such over saturation that voters just tune it out...and it tends to energize your victim's base. Notice that Lynch and Hodes are both rising rapidly during the GOP smear-fest. I suspect CSP and AMK will see similar results as well.

Have you written a letter to the editor today? Have you donated today? Have you put up signs? Have you made calls? Have you talked to your neighbors?

Clearly, advertising did not save the Detroit auto (0.00 / 0)
industry, nor the new and improved Coke, nor the pet rock.  How long a fad lasts varies, obviously.

Celebrity politicians, ala Ronald Reagan, seem to be on the way out.  But, that may just be wishful thinking.

I'm planning on heading up at the end of next week (4.00 / 1)
. . . will see many of you folks on the trail.

Keene-area canvassing is dispersed this Saturday (0.00 / 0)
There is a Pumpkin Festival in Keene so the Kuster/Hodes campaign is sending canvassers to neighboring towns (I'm going to Westminster, near my home in MA).  If you're interested, volunteer to campaign on the Hodes or Kuster websites, or call the NH Dem Keene office:
