Infantine Back in Manchester Alderman Race

by: Dean Barker

Sat Jul 25, 2009 at 12:30:23 PM EDT

It's all so confusing:
Also yesterday, William Infantine changed his mind and kept himself in the running for Ward 6 alderman. Infantine said he received many calls from supporters after he announced he would not seek the seat being vacated by Real Pinard.
Remember this from Thursday?
Infantine delivered a letter of resignation to the Manchester City Clerk's office today at 2 p.m. He announced the news on his Manchester Community Access Media television this evening. During his show he delivered harsh attacks on state Democratic Party Chair Ray Buckley and bloggers at www.BlueHampshire.com.

In an interview, Infantine said that after he filed for office he got word that a competitor had changed his mind and accepted a bid to have Infantine buy him out. He said the new business acuquisition would need his attention.

"I just wish he told me a day earlier," he said.

Anyone have vid of the rant against BH et alii? And be sure also to check out Peter's write-up of the strong new cadre of Democrats rising in the Queen City.

And in the non-soap opera part of this race, don't forget to help out Garth any way that you can.

time for change (4.00 / 1)
just reposting our thoughts (from Peter's diary) on this bizarre political soap opera. Would appreciate your feedback.

btw, as a first-time candidate I don't know the answer to this question - how does one address a political opponent when in less than 24 hours he can't decide whether he can serve the public or not?

We're tweeting this tired, old drama too. Change is coming to Manchester's Ward 6.

Ask the question.

How does one address a political opponent when in less than 24 hours he can't decide whether he can serve the public or not?

Oh you already did. So ask it again. And again.
Control the debate with good questions like this.

If the kids can't bop to it, it's bombsville.

Don't waste too much time on it (4.00 / 3)
You will win the race by going door to door meeting voters, not engaging with Mr. Infantine.
