Novak: Shaheen Is 70% In

by: RandySF

If Bob Novak is correct, then John Sununu must be looking for a new pair of pants. The Prince of Darkness is reporting that Former Governor Jean Shaheen is very likely to enter the Senate race.
RandySF :: Novak: Shaheen Is 70% In
New Hampshire: Former Gov. Jeanne Shaheen (D) and her husband are telling supporters that she there is about a 70 percent chance that she will run for Senate against Sen. John Sununu (R). There is no need for her to move too quickly, since the state is currently consumed with presidential politics, and she already has universal name recognition there.

I hope she announces soon so the other canddiates can decide what to do. Until Shaheen confirms this herself, I wil continue to support Steve Marchand. Either way, New Hampshire is looking blue in 2008.

I'm always surprised (4.00 / 1)
to see supposed insider info on Dem campaigns appear first in a source like Novak. I'd be equally skeptical if the Nation ran a story about Mitt Romney's internal campaign strategy.

He also doesn't mention the report that Bill Shaheen said a run-or-not announcement would happen in September (the Hill, IIRC.)

Good Point (4.00 / 2)
Am always reminded of Tip O'Neill's nickname for Novak and his late partner Roland Evans:  "Errors and No Facts"

good one.
Elwood, I'll ask my mother what the Nation is saying. Her cell works in port. She's sailing from Sitka tonight on a cruise with Katrina V H, Vic Navasky, Ralph and Richard...I'm sure someone has an opinion...

Next time, there may be no next time.

Tip - NH Connection (0.00 / 0)
Tip's beloved personal secretary, Eleanor Kelly, retired to Grafton.  She ran a small B&B filled with pictures and memorabilia of her days with the Speaker. . . . I met her in '94, while we were both volunteering on Dick Swett's re-election campaign in the Upper Valley.

Tip II (4.00 / 1)
Executive Councilor Bev Hollingworth has posession of the massive engraved gavel Tip used as Chairman of the 1980 national convention. No, she would not let me have it. Grrr...lol.

Have you told a stranger today about Bill O'Brien and his Tea Party agenda? The people of NH deserve to hear about O'Brien  and his majority committed to destroying New Hampshire and remaking it into a armed survivalist preserve.
